Below you will find a list of dates important to the housing contract process and opening and closing dates for the residence halls.

Housing Contract Dates

November 19, 2026 Spring Housing Contract Opens - 10am (Spring 2027 only)
Friday, December 11, 2026 (Winter Break) All Halls Close at 5pm for Winter Break Except for Holcombe & Gregson Halls, Duncan Ave. Apartments, Cardinal, Locale, Atmosphere, & Marshall Apartments
Sunday, January 3, 2027 All Halls Open — Noon
January 13, 2027 Spring 2027 Semester Move-In Day - Spring 2027
January 14, 2027 Spring Semester Move-In at Your Assigned Hall 8:30am to Noon & 12:30pm-4:30pm
March 19, 2027 All Halls Close at 5pm for Spring Break Except for Holcombe & Gregson Halls, Duncan Ave. Apartments, Cardinal, Locale, Atmosphere, & Marshall Apartments
March 28, 2027 Halls Reopen at Noon
April 6, 2027 Summer School Contract 2027 Opens
May 8-14, 2027 Halls Close Friday, May 14th at 5pm.
May 16, 2027 Summer Interim Housing Move-In
May 28, 2027 Summer School Move-In

New first-year students only


You must be admitted to the university before contracting.

Your contract selection time will open based on when you completed your University of Arkansas application and your state residence.

Includes Living Learning Community Application and profile set-up for roommate matching - 10am

This phase is not as time sensitive as other phases of the contracting process.

Returning and Transfer Student Housing Application Opens - 10am
January 5, 2027

Priority Deadline for Living Learning Communities (LLCs)
February 2, 2027 Phase 3 — Roommate Selection

Roomate Selection Opens - 10am

This phase is not as time sensitive as other phases of the contracting process.
February 23-26, 2027 Phase 4 — Room Selection (For Returning and Transfer Students)

Late February through May 2027 Phase 4 — Room Selection (For New Students)
March 1, 2027 You will receive a $200 pre-payment refund if your contract is cancelled by Noon.

To Cancel, email housing@uark.edu from your uark.edu email and include your name and Workday ID number.
March 2-4, 2027 Room Selection - Round One
March 15, 2027 You will receive a $100 pre-payment refund if your contract is cancelled by noon.

March 16-18, 2027 Room Selection - Round Two
March 30-April 1, 2027 Room Selection - Round Three
April 13-15, 2027 Room Selection - Round Four
April 27-29, 2027 Room Selection - Round Five
June 15-25, 2027 Phase 5 — Select Your Arrival Time

You must choose a room before selecting an arrival time. You will be assigned a time slot where you will select your arrival time.
July 13, 2027 Special Arrival Request Form Opens - 10am
July 23, 2027 Special Arrival Request Form Closes
July 20, 2027 Early Drop-Off Time Selection for Arkansas Opens
July 22, 2027 Early Drop-Off Time Selection for Arkansas Closes
August 5-6, 2027 Early Drop-Off for Arkansas Students - Communities might not be available due to summer projects. More updates coming in Summer 2027.
