Pomfret Hall Network Outage 3/15 6AM to 6:30AM // Friday, 03/14/2014

Gregson Network Outage Today // Monday, 10/21/2013

The network in Gregson Hall will be going offline for about an hour today at 1:45PM. The outage is to replace some switches that have previously been the cause of some network outages this semester. If you have any questions please email resnet@uark.edu.

Reid Hall Seventh Floor Planned Network Outage // Saturday, 09/28/2013

Reid Hall 7th floor will have a short network outage of about 30 minutes during the normal network maintenance window this Sunday between 12:00 AM and Noon. If you have any problems please send those to resnet@uark.edu or submit a problem on the left hand side of the page.

Router Recommendation // Friday, 08/30/2013

Thinking about getting a router? ResNet recommends the Belkin brand.

To register a router, you need the correct MAC or physical address for the router. Belkin provides the correct information on the box, where other manufacturers do not. Registering the correct MAC address on your ResNet account makes connecting your router much easier. Registering the wrong MAC address (provided by other vendors) causes significant delays.

Also, we do not recommend the Apple AirPort line of routers at this time. These devices are significantly more difficult to configure and may delay you in getting online.

High Volume // Friday, 08/30/2013

We appreciate those students who are being patient as we get to your network problem. We are seeing a high volume of tickets at this time. We will continue to contact those who have submitted a problem in the order it was entered into our system. Tickets that are submitted by phone, email or text may take longer to get to as we manually enter them into our ticket system. As always, the quickest way to get help is to submit a problem ticket on the left hand side of the page.

Students contracted to live with housing by 8/2/2013 should have received an email about their Internet service in their UARK email account. It is recommended that you look over the guides to getting online under the "Getting Connected" link on the left hand page. Any questions can be emailed to resnet@uark.edu.
