Holcombe Hall
Resident Director Welcome Letter
Welcome to Holcombe Hall!
Holcombe Hall is a unique place and with 140 co-ed students from as near as Fayetteville and as far as Asia, Europe, Africa, and South America, it's truly a home away from home. Holcombe is the site of the International Living Learning Community (ILLC). The mission of the ILLC is to "create an environment that fosters cultural awareness, develop a broader world outlook, and build strong, lasting bonds among citizens of the world." This is accomplished by living and learning with people of different cultures, perspectives and values, as well as by participating in exciting social events , language tables, geography series, cooking competitions, and many more programs.
Holcombe Hall is also home to the office of International Students and Scholars, which truly makes it a haven for all international and domestic students who wish to be a part of an exciting, diverse and multicultural community!
The hall features an abundance of common space, including a formal lounge, study areas, music room, game room, and three full kitchens. Holcombe has a staff of four Resident Assistants, an ILLC Program Coordinator and Resident Director. Holcombe students can be found participating in all kinds of campus events, playing guitar and piano in the music room, or preparing for UA Homecoming festivities. Regardless of your background or interests, you can find a friend in Holcombe Hall! I hope you will consider becoming a member of this diverse and welcoming community.
Warmly,
Lauren Chapman
