Living/Learning Communities at the University of Arkansas
Read this page before you begin the University Housing Contract process.

Shortly after you have been accepted to the University of Arkansas you will receive an admissions packet with instructions from University Housing and several other departments across campus for tasks you need to complete prior to arriving to campus.

Once you have received this packet you can begin the Housing contract process.

To get a room on campus at the University of Arkansas your first step is to login to the online contract (read through to below).

$235 is due at contract signing. You may pay online with a credit card.

MyChecklist is the primary way we will communicate with you. We recommend you check MyChecklist every week for updates and/or changes.

MyChecklist will show you what processes you have completed and what you still need to do to get your room on campus.

Roommate Profiler will be available in mid-February on the Housing Website and MyChecklist

Roommate Profiler is OPTIONAL and may be used to create a roommate group with the roommate and/or suitemates of your choice or create a profile and search for a roommate/suitemates.

It is important to select your roommate/suitemates BEFORE you choose your room.

HOWEVER: if you receive a Shop-N-Swap time before your preferred roommate/suitemates have completed a contract we strongly recommend you DO NOT WAIT FOR THEM - GO AHEAD AND SELECT YOUR ROOM. If you wait for your roommate/suitemates to contract before selecting your room your choices may be very limited or none in the hall of your choice.

New students will begin using Shop-N-Swap to select their rooms in April, and continue through the end of June. Your date and time to choose your room will be posted to MyChecklist.

When you log on to Shop-N-Swap you will see all the rooms available in residence halls you are eligible to live in.

To participate in Shop-N-Swap you must first complete a contract.

If you choose your room before you select your roommate or suitemates, your roommate WILL NOT automatically be put in the same room and one of you will have to log into Shop-N-Swap to choose a new room for both/all of you.

After Shop-N-Swap, login to MyChecklist to choose your move-in date and time and to be put on the waiting list for Resident Reserved Parking. Roommate information, mailing address and staff information will be posted to MyChecklist during the summer prior to move-in. Check a couple times a week to stay up-to-date!
