International Education LLC

Members of the International Education LLC got a chance to see The Champion, a play about Nina Simone, at TheatreSquared during the 2017-18 play season.

The International Education Living Learning Community (IELLC) prepares students to grow in intercultural competencies, experience the marvels of the world’s cultures and develop cross-cultural leadership skills.

It is located in Holcombe Hall.

Who should join?

  • You are an international student or you have lived abroad and want to continue to live in a diverse, international community
  • You plan to study abroad during your education at the University of Arkansas
  • You are a student who wants to learn from students from the United States as well as 25 other countries. You want to share your life, talents and perspective within a world community

Requirements

  • Actively participate in monthly workshops led by faculty about current issues
  • Participate in at least one monthly social event organized by the IELLC Ambassador
  • Conduct weekly reflections on your intercultural observations
  • Participate in two service learning activities during the year
  • Provide leadership within Holcombe Hall for cultural programming
