The Faculty in Residence position exists to help strengthen the academic and intellectual cultures of the residence halls at the University of Arkansas. Professor Landman works to foster and shape the social, cultural, and educational lives of residential students. He connects with individual students and groups to promote the values of academic success and citizenship/community engagement.
Professor Landman coordinates and leads several educational, cultural and community activities each semester. Highlights from the current year include a "Bring Your 'A' Game" workshop on college success, trips to the Walton Arts Center, TheatreSquared and University Theatre, hikes to the Fayetteville Farmer's Market, and monthly clean-ups of our residential communities.
Professor Landman's family also lives on-campus. His wife Janie is a senior Communications major, and their daughter is a student at Ramay Junior High School. They are always delighted when students join them for a meal at the residence hall dining centers, so when you see them, please stop by and visit!
