Diversity Impact

Diversity Impact is a campus overnight visit program for high school juniors. The program gives the high school students the opportunity to tour the campus, learn more about the academic colleges and majors, scholarships and financial aid, and to experience life in a residence hall.

This program is sponsored by the Office of Admissions, the Multicultural Center and University Housing and occurs each spring. By serving as the campus residential hosts for the Diversity Impact participants, University Housing student leaders play an integral role with this program. In fact, a number of our hosts were once Diversity Impact participants themselves. We have other hosts who enjoy the program so much that they volunteer to be a host each year they live on campus.

There are several benefits to serving as a Diversity Impact host:

  • Sharing your Razorback pride
  • Beginning a mentoring relationship with a potential University of Arkansas student
  • Serving as an ambassador for the University of Arkansas
  • Participating in a leadership experience to add to your resume

If you are interested in serving as a Diversity Impact host, you can talk with your Coordinator for Residence Education or contact Felisha Perrodin at fperrod@uark.edu.
