Known Issues

Wireless Throughput

Wireless is a shared medium. Devices in use on the same access point can affect the speed at which you connect. Legacy devices that connect to access points can cause newer devices that support faster speeds to instead connect at the slower speed. This is expected functionality. We recommend using the 5 GHz frequency, rather than 2.4 GHz, if your device supports it.

Anti-Virus

Please note that anti-Virus software from such vendors such as McAfee and Norton are known to block authentication to our network. In order to use ResNet, it will be necessary to remove them from your computer. Both software packages require a downloadable removal tool from their manufacturer. It is also a good chance that any free software that claims to protect your computer may also stop authentication.
