Bunk Bed, Bed Riser & Loft Information
Bunk Bed, Bed Riser and Loft Information
Due to safety considerations, university policy does not permit residents to construct their own bed lofts or bunks for use in residence hall rooms. Attempting to bunk or loft your bed without the proper equipment and parts may place you at risk of severe injury. Depending on where you live, loftable beds are either already furnished in the rooms or need to be rented from Collegiate Concepts, University Housing's only authorized loft vendor. With the furnishings provided, residents are able to arrange their rooms utilizing the bed bunking and lofting options offered by University Housing. Stabilizer bars must be installed on high loft configurations.
The following halls already have adjustable lofted beds and do not require rented lofts:
- Buchanan/Droke
- Futrall
- Humphreys
- Maple Hill (all buildings)
- Northwest Quad (all buildings)
- Reid
- Pomfret (all wings)
- Walton (South only)
